Im trying to get rid of a nasty brown algae problem. One thing im doing is leaving the lights off for a few days and doing waterchanges + a tank scrubbing. I was wondering, do you guys think my corals will be ok with 3 days of no light?. I only have soft corals in the tank because it double as a mantis tank as well, so i figured they would be ok, but i would like a second suggestion.

Here are the corals currently in the tank.

GSP
Kenya tree
Some zoos
leather shroom
and some assorted mushrooms.

Like always, thanks everyone.

That should be fine. Loss of light due to large storms or bad weather and other misc. problems is a natural occurrence. You can try cutting back the lighting to an hour or two a day too.

And that large tank at the MBAQ is very cool to watch :)

I cut light and covered from natural light for 3 days, no problem.
I did this after hearing others do the same.
You'll still have to find source of phosphates or nitrates or whatever is causing the undesirable growth.
