Looks like a Stomatella varia. Great for your reef.

Scutus unguis, or a black limpet.

Eats algae but has been known to eat coral tissue.

Did these come on your rock?

this is the second one ive seen about 2yrs... i took the other one out too and uhhhh anyway i found this one when i had a bunch of stuff out of the tank today....

The black ones I had in my reef tank only ate algae. Don't think they eat coral, uh, at least from what my corals have told me.

the second one looks like a keyhole limpet. cant tell the species from that pic

I would agree with both being Limpets. The brown one does look like a keyhole limpet not a Stomatella. You can see its "keyhole" hump on its back. They have been known to eat corals and corraline.

The brown one is a stomatella. It just doesn't have its tail because it fell off when the thread starter picked it up.

i have them in my tank and never had a single problem with them. i love watching them move around

it looks like a keyhole on top to me. well i took the pic and added some brightness to is. looks like what looks like the keyhole is, is a glob of something. so it probably is a stomatella.
