Very nice, thanks for sharing.
I really like the kelp tank shot with the backshot of the shark.
The second shark pic is a leopard shark.
Those are harmless, they're breeding off our coast right now in huge numbers and we've been swimming with hundreds around us.
Tigers, a different story.

Thats what i meant haha. i couldnt remember. ill change it. but yeah its an amazing aquarium. Not what i thought it would be, not much on reefs. But the 1 million gallon aquarium is crazy. It houses giant tunas. the biggest weighs 500 lbs. its unreal. The sunfish was also amazing. its so big and strange looking it looks fake.

Yeah, monteray aquarium is awsome.
Thanks again for pics.
You're in LB.
You should go to point loma and check out all the leopards around here right now.
Pretty cool to see, especially now while the water is so clear.
Snorkel or kayak.

I love the MB aquarium, and the whole Monterey Bay, Big Sur area. Beautiful!

Point Loma...i have never heard of it. Is it south or north of Long Beach. I might have to check that out.
Yeah up North is beautiful. On our way back from the trip we took highway 1 and saw beautiful coast all the way home.

my buddy was in a charter fishing boat going out to catalina island and they hit one of those huge sunfish. It completely destroyed the propeller of the boat.

Point Loma is San diego, about an hour forty five from LB.
Leopards are mainly in front of the marine room restaraunt area,
and in about 5' to 15' of water pretty close to shore.
We go every year about this time, one of the coolest things I've ever seen.

The numbers used to be so great around here that the Mola Molas (sunfish) would be a serious navigational hazard :D
FWIW< they grow so fast in the MBA, they change them out every few years :D

nice pictures. I am not sure why but my dad and brother did not take any full shots of their reef tank. not what i had expected but it was still nice. i am planning on going to the Aquarium of the Pacific soon. I can get in for free and i have heard they have a huge "true reef." a friend from the LFS told me about it and i havent been in a long time.

there reef tank is cool because it's not a hobbiest tank. they have corals growing and growning until they have to fight for space like in the wild. kinda cool but i wish i could take some frags to prevent this.:D

yeah thats true. its more natural looking. they have a lot of weird looking algae growing everywhere though. i wanted to clean it out and do a water change. haha

you should see the 1 million gallon aquarium being fed. they threw pounds and pounds of squid and fish into the tank to feed all the fish, sharks, and turtles. The tank had about 15 giant tuna, 1 sunfish, a lot barracudas, 2 hammer head sharks, 2 white tip sharks, 2 sea turtles, and some other kinds of fish. it was awesome. the tuna eat like crazy and can swim up to 60 mph. (in bursts of speed)
