I will begin cycling my 135G in the next few weeks. After the cycle, I plan on waiting several more weeks before moving in corals from my existing tank. During this entire period, I plan on running a reduced lighting cycle of 3 - 4 hours per day. The old tank has 384W of PC lighting and the 135 will have 546W of T5 lighting. Should I add the corals and gradually increase the photoperiod or do you think it would be better to have a normal photoperiod and have several layers of window screening that is gradually removed? The first option seems the easiest, but perhaps I'm missing something  .

Thanks,
Bill

I agree, why set up twice, and how are you going to make the adjustment from old to new?
I'd set up new lights and use screen as previously suggested.
Depending on what you have, maybe place corals low.
