I'm not trying to correct anyone as it took me quite awhile to figure out how to tell the difference between Florida rics and yuma rics. If anyone cares lol here it is.
Floridas are usually easier to keep and like more lighting than yumas.
Certain colored yumas especially that sought after red and pink can melt easily if not acclimated to the light and tank conditions.
Yumas have a more protruding mouth with bumps around it.
Floridas don't have bumps around the mouth and the mouth is usually a different color and just a bump.
Heres one of my green yumas that when I got it last year I put it on the bottom of my tank and it still totally bleached white.
I had to shade it under my leather and now it's about 3 inches big and has babies. I slowly moved it up to the top of the tank over time. The orange rics next to it are Floridas.

This is a different green yuma I have. Note the bumps around the mouth.

This is a bad pict of my Floridas lol it's hard to get the mouth. These both have double mouths.

Another difference is that Florida rics reproduce by splitting and Yumas do it by fision of the foot. Yumas don't split so don't get more than 1 mouth.
This has nothing to do with rics lol and is a pict of my green pocillapora for Michelle. I grew it from a teeny tiny frag from Joe.
I'll try to get you a frag and I'm sure it will turn more green in your tank as you have that green thumb lol.
