I found these on a piece of my LR and have no clue what they might be. I don't know if the picture is helpful much but they are shaped, forgive me for the comparison, but they look like the huge cooling towers of Three Mile Island in the far off aerial photos.

Seriously ! Anyway; they also have little hair like things protruding from around the open top rim. Anyone know what they might be.....?

Some species of small polyp, dont seem to be fully open in this picture

Actually they stay fully open like that. Their not that big to begin with but for the life of me I can't find a pic of them anywhere or find anyone who knows what they are.

I'm not worried about them...just curious what they are.

Definiatly a zooanthid of somesort...either that or the beginings of a feather duster....to early to tell.
