Any user experiences with the NS-1000?
I know jthnhale has one but he hasn't been active here lately. . .
My previous skimmer was an H&S 200-1260 and it kicked butt. I'll have limited space in my new stand and right now my short list of skimmers is a) custom H&S 200-1260 cut to ~21", b) Tunze 9020, or c) Elos NS-1000.
Looking for the most skimming power given my space constraints.
Comments and suggestions appreciated (within reason ;))

Sorry for the lack of information on these skimmers there are very few who are using them in the US and even less that are posting in forums. The skimmer is a venturi skimmer with our patented top down injection for a very long contact time and very easy adjustments. You can see some of the pictures and videos our forum. If space constraints are an issue this may be a good choice. The build quality is really the best I have seen. The injector does need to be cleaned, like most venturis but besides that it is very easy to use and it skims very well. The bubble size is very small for a venturi and you can install it in a number of different ways. I have also had a retailer connect a needlewheel to one of his units and got some pretty impressive results. What size tank is this going on?

Jesse,
Can you post these dimensions?
Skimmate cup height.
Body height without cup.
Outlet height from bottom of skimmer.
Thanks.

yep. Would you also like the dimensions of the NS4000 and/or the NS500?

The reaction chamber inside and the pump size is increased but the outside dimensions are the same.

NS4000
Total height 25 3/4"
Without cup 17 7/8"
Outlet height. Measured from the bottom of the outlet hole to the bottom of the skimmer
10 3/4"
Footprint on this is large because you need 2 1260 eheims and it is 8 1/2" x 8 1/2" at the base of the body where the NS500 and NS1000 are 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hey never saw this. I only have a minute and am out the next few days, but I really like the NS1000. However - I would STRONGLY recommend the jumbo put for a tank your size if you go with the Elos.
Whether venturi is better than NW or external is better than internal or all those other things people argue about ... the bottom line is Elos product quality is second to none and I'm certain their R&D process is more than just - throw a new pump on an existing skimmer ... beta test it ... like some other EUROpean REEF skimmer imitaters.
Gotta run, more next week if you still want some more info. There are pix on my site under Elos.
