Is my tank cycled???

I have had my 50 gal tank up & running for almost 3 weeks. It has 65 lbs live rock, a super skimmer 65 & a 350gal filter. My tank is suddenly turning brown w/ algae blooms (i suspect); I used some shrimp to help cycle it & run the light periodically; amonia & nitrates/nitrates are undetectable; ph is perfect. Has my tank cycled? Is it normal for it to be that rapid?

It sounds like it's cycled to me;)

Algae - is it brown? What kind of set-up is this (reef, FO, FOWLR)?Are you using RO/DI water? Do you test for Phosphates? What kind of 350gl filter are you using - is it a cannister?

Turbo snails work great for cleaning up algae, but I'd only put a few in at a time so they have enough food.

yeah, its brown algae. covering most of the live rock and even parts of the skimmer & sandbed. the filter is a double side-by-side filter. :mixed:

can you post a link or a pic of the filter? Does it have a floss type media in it?
