30g 12x36x16
3-4" southdown equivelent DSB
Aqua-c Remora w/Maxi1200
T5 3x39W (2 10,000K one blue 460nm)
1 or 2 Maxijet 400
10-15 lbs home made rock
Instant Ocean salt

seed sandbed with bottom crude from existing tanks and live rock

I would add more water flow. Look into a couple seio 620's

Although your lights usually do a decent job of heating the tank, it can cool dramatically at night, especially in a tank that size. I would recommend getting 2 x 100W heaters. The reason for two is you have a backup if one craps out in the off position.

Also, one tip, if you ever plan to add anything in the way of inverts, do not use any medications or copper-based treatments in this tank.

Yep, those MJ 400's will barely be a light breeze in there. You need considerably more flow than those deliver. I'd recommend the Seios as well.

2 SEIO 620s ??

It is a 30g tank only 16 inches deep with a 3-4" sand bed.
Each SEIO is rated at 600gph plus the Maxi1200 on the skimmer (300gph) is about 1500gph. For a 30g that will turn around the tank 50 times per hour. Isn't that a bit much? I have read that 20 times in recommended as for STRONG water movement inverts. For FOWLR many suggest 10-15x.

I had one SEIO 620 that I just sent back because several posters on other forums said 2 smaller pumps would be better.

Maybe larger maxis or similar?

Not sure, just thinking out load. I have everything except the pumps because I sent the SEIO back. I will ordering more stuf anyway so to add on the pumps is not a problem.

I would not count the MJ on the skimmer as this is not going to affect the flow in your tank that much. Believe me, I had one on the remora skimmer on my 26 gal bowfront before. At the very least, I would shoot for a pair of MJ 1200's in there. They just tend to have a more concentrated flow than the Seios. Big thing with your setup is that you want alot of flow in there to keep the fish waste kicked up so that your skimmer can get it. You don't want it settling and collecting anywhere.

The skimmer will be barely pushing 50gph. The reason for the large pump is to generate the pressure needed to drive the spray injector. I'd replace the 400s with a pair of 1200s or 900s.

For instance I run 2x 1200s, 1x Seio, and a 600GPH (PanWorld 50PX) return through a spray bar in my tank, and some spots STILL don't have enough flow.
