My G. graphurus only comes out at "night" while the main lights are off. During the day he rarely leaves his shady caves and crevices. But when just the moonlight is on I seem him moving around the tank. My lighting currently consists of a single 65w pc light over a 20H. I was thinking about downgrading to an Aqualight 2x14W T5 in hopes that you will come out more. The fixture will save me money anyway, but I just want to keep my celebrity mantis(nano-reef) happy.

I kind of like the moon lighting. Unless you have something in that 20h that needs the light, have you thought about running your current lights fewer hours and maybe upgrading the moonlighting?

I do have some mushrooms. I like having the tank lit so I was looking at the coralife fixture. It has two power cords so I could run actinics most of the time and then a couple hours of daylight.

I think he just doesn't want to see you dance around your room naked when the lights are on

HAHAHAHAHAHA

If you're a DIY'er you could run one low power actinic and build a small strip of white LEDs, though I have no idea what color temp they are...

That might give you bright enough light to see and dim enough light to fool the mantis.
