So I built a nifty counter current skimmer and set it up and it worked fine. It started producing foam almost immediately and worked for a couple of days and then just stopped working. Now the bubbles come to the top of the water column and just pop. No foam.
Does anyone know why this is/how to fix it? The only thing I can think of is that it seems to have happened right after I added some top off water near the skimmers intake pump. The water had some PH buffer (Superbuffer DKH) in it so that might have something to do with it.
It has been 4 days now and I'm at a loss for things to try so any help would be appreciated.
