I treated my tank today for the common flatworm. It's been about 2 hours. Nothing major yet except for about 10 tiny serpent starts dead at the bottom of the tank. Should I be concerned? Ist that normal?
I had hundreds if not thousands of these worms in the tank. As soon as I added the exit, within about 4 minutes they detached and were hanging from this stringy substance on the rockwork. I immediately began siphoning what I could but there were a lot. Within about 30 minutes It was a sea of red worms. I started using a brine shrimp net instead. I had about 4 lbs of carbon running through an Eheim canister filter. Thankfully nothing else had died yet. Instructions say to watch the tank for 6 hours. We'll see.
