was looking at dc909 thread and was wondering if anybody else have documented w/ pics the growth or transformation of their zoas.. I know that there's an article over at zoaid.com of the GI Joe zoas also.. anybody else have pics to share?

also, please tell us how long is the time period of the growth or transformation? and maybe a quick background of your tank and husbandry..

Thanks
Marvin

Marvin,

If you send me a frag of those zoas in your avatar I would gladly document the progress ;)

LoLz..

I'm in the process of getting some of the survivors a chance to grow.. really nice trade baits.. ;)

I bought couple of frags of them from LFS and most aren't making it.. I know that they were wild but decided to take a chance since they looked awesome.. they're just slowly dwindling away on me.. I only have couple of polyps as of now.. I hope they make it..

anyway, back to the subject.. :)

Old pics, but here is a decent example of how some paly's changed for me.

With as many pics as I used to take, I should have some before and afters. I'll see what I have Marvin... Mine won't be as nice as Reef Junkies transformation, though... Gives me hope on a few others I have, though.

I was surprised they did what they did.
The colony was hidden behind a rock in the front of the tank. When I moved the rock, it was like Christmas in August, but August of '05.

I lost the entire colony with the crash. Luckily, a friend has about 50 polyps of them. I will have them again soon.

Bill, you think your LOTR are the same as the ones in my avatar? I got these from LFS and I'm sure they were wild.. lost most of them but still have couple of polyps that are surviving?

here's the larger pic...

Marv,
There are a lot of paly's that have those color traits.

I do think they are exactly the same paly.;)

In fact, I think there are a few differently named paly's that are all the same. That's been an ongoing conversation.

There's no denying, whatever you call those, they are sa-weet!:D

Nioce!
My paly's did the same thing. Went from nice, but slightly washed out, to crisp sharp color definition.
