I believe stressed my bta into splitting. It was about 8" accross when it happened. I moved my rocks around a bit and it changed the flow so some of it's tentacles were getting twisted up like a balloon animals. A couple of them even fell off. I changed the flow a bit so it wasn't spinning them up so bad. Several days later I thought it was dead. It almost looked like it was starting to decompose. Then the foot walked out from under the rest of it. :eek1: I thought about removing it, but figured I'd wait just to be sure. The next day the top half looked better than it did before I moved the rocks (only smaller). :) The other half still looked terrible. It looked all torn up with just a couple tentacles. Again I figured I'd wait and see what happens. Within a day or two I could see more tentacles forming.
It's been a couple weeks now and the first one is growing quickly (not being fed still) and the second one actually looks like an anemone.
I think the second one may split again. In a spot where it was torn near the foot, it's growing some tentacles. :D
I'll see if I can find some pictures tonight.
Anyone else have an anemone split like this?
