Has any one had problems keeping SPS with softies. I have always had a softie tank and I want to add a few more SPS (I have a monti digitata and a monti cap). I wondered if this would cause chemical warfare. I have all sorts of softies.

sps has strong toxins, so make sure what u want. sinularia is also very aggressive. i have softies and sps. make sure there is enough room and charcoal running somewere. stonies light and water movement differs from softies, some prefer stronger light and current.

Montipora is a subnissive coral (not aggressive) so take care there is no soteis 2 close to harm it. they should fit with your softies in current and lightning.

hope this helps

I have been slowly acclimating my softies to SPS conditions. I run lots of t5 light and a 40x tank turnover. All my softies have adjusted to the new conditions.

sometimes softies and SPS can get along:
