battle of the skimmmers! AquC vs. ASM

I am trying to decide on which skimmer to put in my tank. It is a 55 gallon. Due to space limits, I can either get the AquaC EV 120 w/ mag 7 or the ASM G1. I heard somewhere that ASM is a great brand, but the G1 has been a finicky performer. I am leaning towards the AquaC, but I need some opinions to help me decide.

I have a ASM G1x on my 80 gallon and it works well. Pulls out a lotta junk. I have heard good things about ASM and have seen their skimmers used on both of my LFS tanks.

I own an ASM G1x, and I'm pretty happy with it. Even though my tank is lightly stocked, it's still taken a lot of nasty stuff out.
