Just today I installed an auto top off controller and an autofeeder in preparation of a few days away from home. This will give me a couple of days to monitor the systems and make sure they're functioning properly.
Over the past few weeks, I've been slowly correcting a low calcium situation with my params. When I'm away, I'd like to continue adding calcium to the tank. I already use buffered water for top off, so the alk and ph remain stable (and they do).
Any reason why I couldn't also put calcium into the top off water?? I'd be using just the calcium half of the B-ionic 2 part, as the top-off water is already buffered. Shouldn't adversely effect the the topoff water, should it??
