Adding a Recirc. to a normal NW Skimmer?

Would adding a recirculation NW pump to a regular NW skimmer work? (2 pumps, 1 NW feeds and the other recircs.)

I did that to my Euroreef 8-2. It originally came with one Sedra 5000 NW. I added a second for recirc, and let the first one still feed the skimmer. Tooo much turbulence that way. I ended up making both Sedras Recirc pumps, and gravity feed the skimmer. Works much better now, alot less turbulence and much easier to control flow thru the skimmer this way.
