I've never had a skimmer before the remora. I have a 15L and am very happy with it. It pulls out gunk. Major cons is the noise, after the break in period it is still loud. I am stating loud because I sleep in the same room as my tank, so it's on a 12 hour shift. I think it was worth the money, very simple , easy to use, plug and play, ect.....
