Before I cycle my tank, should I set up my denitrate equipment to run through the cycle, or after the cycle?

Cycle is to force tank environment to "learn" how to handle ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate on its own, by growing beneficial bacteria on rocks and sand.

So, having said that, let the tank go through cycle on its own.

What kind of denitrate equipment is this?

Exactly!! what i had in mind was to let the fish tank do its own cycle .. but then the guy at the store told me to start the cycle with a Denitrate Filter, unles he wants to pull my leg and make me buy it! but then i was going to buy it later on anyways after the cycle was done.

well actuly i dont know what kind it is, it looks good and i want to try it later in the system once istablished.

but my question is, shall i run the cycle on its own or give it a kick with the denitrate thing?

give it a kick?...
you wont fully set-up a good strong system unless you let is "do its thang"...
and most denitrate systems are hyperbole marketing terms

Hard to say, not knowing what the equipment is. I don't think it's going to do much harm as long is it's stable, etc.
