Want to know what kind of metal that Lumenarcs are made of???

Hello all,

I want to make some reflectors for my aquarium and would like to know:

a) What metal are Lumenarc's made out of?

b) What is the best type of metal to use when constructing reflectors, in order to prevent pitting due to saltwater exposure?

c) How do I go about polishing metal for these reflectors?

kentrob11 has some plans for DIY lumenarc mini's i cant find the file he sent me a month ago but im sure he'd send one out to you if you PM'd him. im pretty sure you would be better off buying pre-polished sheet metal, its alot of work doing it yourself.

You can get mirror finished aluminum sheet from marinedepot.

A 2'x2' sheet for $30.
