I posted this in the newbie section, am hoping to see if anyone has seen this in a green carpet anemone before, and tell me what its doing?? Its been like this for about a week off and on, its like a second foot, sometimes it grabs hold of rock , then lets go..

That's pretty cool. Gigantea anemones like yours have been rumored to split or bud, but usually that type of thing happens from the tentacles down to the foot.
My guess is that you haven't had this specimen very long, yes?
It could be a reaction to an injury.
Is there any sort of mouth forming on the tentacle side of the new "foot"?
