My resin TDS, like Ereefic, also seems high and depletes fast. I'm in the same area but get 450-475 tds in and getting 33tds from the ro membrain out. Does this resin form channels in the housing? My resin also looks pink about 1/4 and mushy-it is the non color changing and is in the 60-65tds area after di unit. How much water can I expect to get from a refill at 33tds?

Thanks in advance.

Your long past due for a DI change. Do you have a 100 GPD membrane? Is your DI housing horizontal or a full sized vertical? If you have a full size vertical you can expect about 200 gallons of production water and not much more with a TDS of 33. The TDS coming off your DI should be 0 and when it hits 2-3 it time for a change. With the high TDS I recommend going to a 75 GPD membrane to lower you RO TDS reading. With a 75 GPD membrane your TDS should be 8-10 after your membrane and a full sized DI should make about 650+ gallons of water. To get a little more out of your system you might also consider going to a dual full size vertical DI housing.

Yes, full size vertical. What about adding another ro membrane like in the 1:1 water waste threads, would that help prolong the di. Flow restrictor is 550ml/min manufacter says 50-85 gls/days

First let's look at this what size membrane is in your system? If it's a 50 or 75 your RO TDS should be 8-10 not 33!! How old is the membrane?

1.5years and I think it's 75g/day. Are you familiar with the 1:1 waste water thread? If so what do you think about that idea?

Yes if it is the same thread I was involved in on my other screen name Fahz I did the testing on it only to back up a system someone had been operation for eighteen months. The lowest waste water ratio I am able to get was 1.25 to :1 and that is a system I'm using and still testing. I run it on a booster pump and we make the system and have a conversion kit for it.

You need good water pressure to run it but it does not reduce your TDS to a lower level still the 96-98 % rejection. The two best features are low waste and fast water production. I get 7.5 gallons per hour out of mine.

If you have a 75 GPD membrane in your system sounds like it's toast with a TDS of 33!!

So what do you recomend-new membrane and filter package. What can I run with the 550 ml/min restrictor?

Here's what you need if the DI cartridge is refillable all you need is the resin. I would go with the 75 GPD Filmtec membrane as it is by far the best around and the 550 flow restrictor is perfect for it. We will send picture directions on changing the membrane and it's quite easy.

Thanks the group buys we did with all the Wisconsin clubs this spring really helped us as we were still in start up mode.

Jim,I just ordered new membrane and filter plus an extra di plug and play housing (like that!) what order do I run the filters in? Poly-Matrix CTO-Matrix+1 is my guess.
