can anyone give me some info on the eel catfish i work at a lfs but ive never herd much about them and was woundering if anyone knew something i dont.

And they get like a foot long! And do not school when adult.

thanks for the help guys...i also wanted to know will they eat other food other then pellets and flakes cause in the sotre we fed him pellets but he would only eat like everyother day and i read that they will eat shell fish if you cut small peices up and let them sink to the bottom. is their any fact to this?

Any meaty foods of marine origin will be accepted eagerly.

it is only a good thing if it is eating flake/pellet. zero risk, perfect nutrition (if using a quality brand, such as, imo, new life spectrum), and much easier to feed.

this is true, but like i said, if it is eating quality dry foods in a lfs, that should be a good selling point, not a negative. in response to them eating shellfish, mussel is readily accepted by almost anything, including the coral cat, so that would make a nice treat every now and then.
