My BTAs split and bleached when the temp over the summer hit over 100 degrees for over two weeks straight and my tank's temp got too high. My question is how long does it take for the anemone's zooanthellae to be replaced after the anemone has bleached itself? Does anyone have good experience in this situation? Thanks for your time.

Hi Dzovi, sorry to hear about your tank troubles, I assume you were able to get the temp down?
If you feed your anemone every other day(if it will take it) do that and you will start to see a brown color coming back first.
If it won't eat every other day try every three days.
Keep the temp down, if you have to float a bag of ice cubes on the top of the tank do that.
Have the two formed their mouths yet? If so start the silversides and keep them up.
Depending on your water quality and how much food they eat it could take several months for them to regain there full color.
My little red house has more info on it.
Good luck to you

Thats terrific, just keep up the feedings and water quality and they will recover.
And your welcome

Just like you can with fish food, soak the silverside in nutrients as well prior to feeding. They probably don't need/want the garlic, but VitaChem, Selcon, etc couldn't hurt.

Thanks for all the advice. I'm going to start to feed the anemones a daily small bit (a pinch of silverside) daily. I'll work on making a photo journal of their progress.
