I'm at my LFS every 2 weeks replentishing B-ionic. When I remember I get the larger concentrate, but still. $15-25 every week to 10 days. I'd just get a Ca reactor, but, I'm shopping for a house and will be moving up in tank size. So a reactor for that tank would be bigger than I need now, AND i don't have room for one right now.

A guy at the LFS suggested getting a Kalk reactor. He said they're smaller and a less expensive alternative to getting a Ca reactor.

Anyone with experience in this area? I'm a little scared of changing Ca sources now that my tank is quite stable and growing like crazy. Thanks

You can use a Kalk reactor, or mix Kalk in your topoff water. Both work well.

You can also make your own 2 part fordirt cheap.
