If it keeps up like this I'll have a larger tank every year. I'm upgrading from my 90 to a 125 and would like to hear some tips and hints on how to make this go smoothly when I do it. Also I was thinking about setting up a closed loop on this system also to reduce any power heads in the tank the return pump is going to be the Dolphin ampmaster 3000 is this enuf flow to not need a CL, I dont plan on having any SPS. I enjoy softies and a few LPS and oh yeah my Derasa Clam. Please give me your thoughts.

If you are referring to an AGA tank, the low flow areas are the corners near the overflows. If I had to do it over again, my overflows would be in the corners and not 1 foot away from them. A closed loop is a great idea; wish I knew what they were before I set my tank up.

Other than that, not really much to report. In all honesty, if you have your heart set on a 6 foot tank, then do a 180 or larger. The front to back distance on the 125 makes aquascaping a bit difficult. An extra 6 inches would add some depth (front to rear) that gives a better sense of realism. Ever notice the front to rear distances on custom made tanks? These folks know this all too well.

I thought about doing a 180 but I found a great deal on a 125 complete setup and couldnt pass it up. I currently have a 90 so I know the front to back situation but I will be happy with the 125 and I really cant go any bigger. So i will be happy with the 125 but what size pump would be good for CL.
