Heres a pic w/ 2 400w 20k xm. The bulb on the left was a little over a year old and the bulb on the right was brand new:

Stoney Mahoney XM bulbs can last that long? What kind of ballast are you using? Do you think they would last that long with electronic ballasts for DE bulbs?

Yep! They get a little more yellow as time goes by but I have had bulbs run for 2 years and not pop. You can just use them on a fuge or something that like yellow. I run mine on Sun Systems magnetic drive ballasts(Big old heavy duty hydroponic ballasts). I DO think that they would last that long, or longer on electronic ballasts b/c they don't push the bulbs as hard as magnetic ballasts. :)

Pictures of other 20K 400 watt bulbs ? I'm buying a couple of 400 watt 14K aquaconnect lamps but I wouldn't mind to try some 20K's...... Radium's ? Ushio's ?

The white balance on camera does real funny thing to 20K pics but I run the 400W xm and like them alot.

There the link to SunnyX's TOTM he was running 20K xm in some of the pics.
