Does anybody know anything about this rock? like quality? how "live" it actually is? Size? thanks

get the nicer stuff instead. it seems like you already have rock and fish in your tank. adding more rock will (most likely) cause a cycle and really hurt them. as long as you have 50lbs or so, just stick with what you got. Otherwise, you may have to remove your fish, etc. or cure the new rock in a separate tank.

i have literally ten lbs, 4 pieces.. I need more big time!!!! My tank is BARE.. and I'm not completely cycled anyways..

will this help with biological filtration and will it actually grow stuff?

you have an anenome in your tank and you are cycling? You need to bring it back to the LFS before it is too late.
To serve as biological filtration you need about 1 pound/gallon depending on the source.
check out premiumaquatics.com, there rock is pretty darn good.
when you say "grow stuff" what are you looking for? If you want coraline algae and some pods, then most rock will do (not really base rock though, get the premium stuff). If you want a ton or crabs, pods, sponges, and corals, etc., then check out tampabaysaltwater.com.
