Okay, we've all got one treasure in our tank, no matter what it is, fish, invert, coral, whatever! No matter how expensive, big or small -
Mine's my cleaner shrimp, so much personality! And whatever goes into the tank, he's gotta come over and take a look. He even cleans my hands when I'm vacuming the tank! He was a gift from my sister, we named him Shrimpleton! He's our buddy!
What's your favorite?

My regal tang (blue tang) I have had him since he was a "newborn" maybe 1 or 2 weeks old, now about 3 years old, we have been thru alot together, power outages, algae bloom, cyno, anything you can name, we got thru it!

he's blessed

My golf ball coral. It was the first thing i bought when i started, we have been through spikes of everything, power outages, white spot treatments, anything you can poke a stick at really, it is really unbelieveable how it is still healthy. :p

Got to agree with the first poster. Shimi, my cleaner shrimp, is an ADHD shrimp, but a lot of fun.

He cleans my hands whenver I go in there, he spazzes when food is dropped into the tank. He stalks the fish trying to clean them (occasionally they let him, but usually just tease him by buzzing past him again and again).

When a new piece of rock or coral goes in the tank he investigates it immediately. Very curious, very friendly.

I think probably my cherub angelfish. It is kind of a love, hate relationship though. He goes crazy when ever you add a new fish, waving his tail in their faces. I would like to add one or two more fish into the aquarium but I am afraid to keep putting the other fish through all of the stress!

Mine would have to be my "Grandpa" my Speckler Hawk. He just sittings there watching the rest of the family (tankmates and tankviewers alike). He's been around longer than the others also!

In my small tank my black long-spined urchin is very cool!

Even with the quirks, I would say my Gold Stripe Maroon Clown, its name is Crotch because it is a pain in the rump. Chasing fish, biting hands, knocking over things, moving things, digging in the sand. Why is it my favorite again? hehe

My hermit crab. Had him the longest.

He is about 4-5 inches across and is one of the first things everyone notices and try to name..etc.. Not a flashy hermit, plain in color and a bit hairy, but has the coolest blue eyes. He is supposed to be bad, and destroy my tank, but that day has never come.

He is a real clown and there are too many funny things he does to list. My favorite thing is to watch him sift sand, he is awesome at it, one clawfull at a time. Sometimes I will box him with my "claw" and he has a nice left jab :). He loves to toss my nassrius snails when they get to close, but has yet to harm anything.

He helps me remember that even though there are guidelines for reef tanks, not everything follows the rules.

And of course my coral beauty everytime I try to take pics it always swims up to the camera, but never long enough for me to get a good pic. Or when I get real close to the tank, it will swim right up to my face. Scares the #*@% out of me sometimes.

My GS Maroon Clown, 'Todd'. He hosts nearly anything it can in my tank, and will stop whatever he was doing if I come near the tank. If I put my face close to the glass to check something out he will stay right in front of my face looking right at me. He goes crazy when I open the glass top just to let the tank get some air instead of feeding him. Picky little thing.

So much personallity in that little guy, he was also one of our first fish, and the only fish we currently have from when we first started the hobby.

My Mantis Shrimps and my juvi Dragon Wrasse - boy is that wrasse naughty! It topples my corals, it digs holes under all my live rock, it throws the snails off the glass panes... Just mindlessly naughty. But that also means interesting.

My carpet anenome and Maroon Clown fish, whom we named "Lazarus." When we first got him/her 10 years ago, he came down with a very bad bacterial disease. We pretty much wrote him off...but...he came back, almost from the dead! He is so cool to watch take care of his/her anenome...and he takes his food pellets right from my fingers!

I like your clowns...it's interesting to me because I have the same combination. One true and one ocelarris. I'm curious if yours are mated? Mine have only been together for about 2 months now, so they haven't yet, but the male has been doing the submissive spazz thing.

I have a Sailfin Tang with no fins that I saved from a friends tank. The tank was in really bad shape. I've had him for about a year. He actually gets around pretty well.
