I can't seem to find anything that doesn't scratch my acrylic tank. Any suggestions?

My tank has a eurobraced, so it gets really hard to reach the lower parts of the side panels to scrape algae.

I have a magnet that I made custom cloth pads for-- it does great for cleaning, but is not rough enough to get off the hard coraline algae.

If anybody has any input I would appreciate it.

Thanks

I use a Kent pro scraper handle, which I sandwich a credit card into against the regular plastic blade. Works great, easily removes coralline, and is much gentler on the acrylic than even the Kent plastic blade.

My Home Depot card is working wonders at the moment.

I've tried acrylic pads (the white ones) and Kent acrylic scrapers. They both will easily scrape your tank if you're not totally careful.

The credit card is the most "forgiving" acrylic scraper out there IMO.

Ok-I'll try the credit card on the Kent scraper and see how it does. I hadn't thought of that.

My problem was if I just used a credit card by hand--I couldn't reach the bottom parts of the panels. The Kent pro scraper handle should give me the extra reach.

Thanks!
