I have a 20 gal Long with a Fuge/Sump and need to get a skimmer. The skimmer will be in the drain portion of the sump which is approx 6" x 10". I have considered an Aqua C Urchin or the new Nano Tunze. The tank will contain mostly SPS and a clam or two so I'll need efficient skimming. Will also be using Cheato Algae for additional nutrient export. Which would you choose of the two skimmers listed or what others are out there that would fit in my available space?

Hi,

I own an ASM G3 and love it. It pulls out much more junk than the Red Sea Berlin that I had previously. Check out their web site and get the model that fits your tank size.

I also have the ASM G-3 and absolutely love it! I know that ASM makes a "mini" version that might do quite well for your 20L

The ASM G3s are great. I just wouldnt go with a berlin. Personally I think they suck the pumps burn out and I dont think they clean as well. There is also one made by kent. Its called the super reef devil its good i used to have one.

My 50 gallon and 40 gallon reefs each have an ASM G-2 and they are doing a great job! Reasonably quiet too, but I am springing for the Eheim needlewheels to replace the Sedras as soon as my budget will allow.
