I have been looking for a pump to replace my rio TAAM 1700 for a while now and i finally found a good replacement. My question is what are the dimentions of the Ocean Runner 3500 made by aqua medic? I just need to know if one of the dimentions is less then 3 inches, if it is it will fit in my diy overflow, if not then my search resumes. Also if you do own one how does it preform? and is it loud? Dr smith and foster has it labled as NEW item is it a new item from aqua medic or new to the aquarium hobby?

Here is a link so everyone knows what im talking about,

The 3500 is a BIG pump. Theres no way any of its dimensions are even close to 3". I'd have to measure, but its probably 6"x6"x8".

Theyre absolutely phenomenal pumps though.

Why do you need a pump that will fit in your overflow?

Damn I didnt realize they were that big, The reason I wanted it so small is b/c I have a overflow built into the back of my tank and thats where the pump currently is. I guess I could run it outside my aquarium, but it wouldnt look as clean. Thanks for the reply, here is a pic of my tank, you can see the built in overflor in the back of the tank http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h77/mattnano/mytank.jpg
