Hey guys. I haven't been on in a LONG time, but I'm trying to make a comeback. Long story short, my DIY beckett skimmer was broken, (thanks UPS) and I'd like to see if I can still use it in a different way.

Here's what it looked like before my favorite shippers got a hold of it:

And here's what I'd like to still use:

I'm thinkin I can slap a 1/4" bottom onto it, and maybe plumb a needle wheel to it. You guys think it's possible? The diameter of this thing is 6", with a 4" neck. The height of the body is only 8", and I think that might be where I'm screwed, however, I don't think I'd have any problem connecting some 6" PVC to it to make it taller, BUT, I would like to keep it this height if possible because it will fit in my stand much better. Tank will be a 135G FOWLR with a MODERATE bioload. I am in no way gonna overstock it.

OK guys, throw me some ideas, good, bad, or ugly.

But I don't know where to find a venturi for it.
