i got a small zoa the other day and when i took it out of the bag it had like 9 polyps literally hanging by a thread of tissue.i went ahead and pulled them off and they have been opening up just fine.i have a small piece of rock like 1 inch by 2 inch, that i laid them on and put them in a small plastic container sitting on bottom of my tank.will they just attach to the rock on their own or do i need to use something to attach them?

You can glue them by removing the rock and the Zoa's, pat them dry with a paper towel and glue them using a gel type Superglue. Then put them back into the tank.

Make sure its superglue gel or you will have difficulty getting it to stick and dry properly.

I let mine set out for five min then put them back in let's the glue set up and does not harm the zoa's, the other day i was gluing some new zoa's to some rock and i fogot to put one back in so it sat out of the tank for over 5 hours and it still made it ok they are tuff

Super Glue activates with water, so the faster you get them wet the better. I put glue on the surface , hold the polyp to the surface and hold under water for a few seconds. Glue starts setting immediatly.

hey, i have my own little reef question.... i also recently bought a little wedge of rock that has about 20 little zoa's stuck to it... they are all really crowded on there! i wanted to split them up and glue a couple onto different rocks so they can spread... any ideas? i have just been gluing my Zoa's including the little rubble they are on onto larger rocks. Will this take them longer to spread over the larger rock? thanks for helping out a newbie :)

Use any brand you want. I have never heard of any problems using any brand of super glue. Just get the gel type and you'll be fine.
