I am thinking of adding a third metal halid lamp to my set up either a 400 watt 6500k Iwasaki par making machine or a 400 watt 20000k radium.
Current lighting and tank specs are 2 250watt HQI DE 14000k Pheonixs metal halides and a little blue suplimentation from some antinic t-5s. Tank is 48in long, 24 wide and 30 deep.
If I put in the 6500k light so that it was only during the day when I am not home will it affect the coloration of my corals when only the 250 watts are on? If it is going to reduce the florecent colors in my coral then I would rather add a 20,000k light which will make my tank bluer and add par, just no where near as much.
