I have been lurking around for the last month or so and finally decided to take the plunge. I decided to go with:

29g AGA
Remora Skimmer w/Maxi 1200
2x Maxi 1200 for the flow
30lbs uncurred LR
30lbs LS
30" 150w Sunpod MH with luner (should be here by the end of the week)

The lfs suggested that I let the rock cure for three too four weeks without the light or LS. After reading a few posts I have come to the conclusion that most decided to cycle with LS. I was hoping to get some advice from some of you guys. Can you give me some advice?http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l158/jwilliams10/P9100069.jpg

your fine. you dont need a light on it doesnt do much. However keeping the temp around 70-80 will help the bacteria multiple. The flow will move the pollution around too.

don't by by a specific time period. Hold off on adding anything until your nitrates and ammonia are low. I waited two months until my nitrates were down to 5ppm, and now monts later, I am cooking my rock because of all the nuisance algae.

Looking good, keep us updated! Just keep testing throughout this break-in period.

I'd put the sand in. It'll give the sand time to build bacteria as well. And it will look better. I think your on the right track everything looks good.
