My new 225 g will be 82" long (custom built to fit in available space). I intend to use a wavebox and two 6000.

I prefer the 6000 rather than 6100 as I will primarily have LPS/softies.

Should this tank be able to generate a double wave?

Any comments on 6000 vs 6100?

Thanks

Peter

Yes, you should be able to get a double wave. I think the 6000's are OK and if not they can be upgraded to 6100's for about $75 US each.

Roger, Thanks for the quick reply. One further question that I had previosuly found in the forum but cannot find now:

My new tank will have 1.25" above the normal water level to the bracing. How much of the wavebox should be out of the water? People have mentioned the "blue wavy line" but until I buy the wavebox I do not know this distance?

If this is a good distance at setup without waves is it OK if the wave is greater i.e. the wave will cover the wavebox?

Thanks

The wavy line is about 3/4" from the top, that is about how much sticks out.
