question on coralife 24 gpd RO/DI unit

I purchased a used 24 GPD coralife RO/DI unit for 80 bucks. I think now I got somewhat shafted because I see the replacement membranes run 64 bucks. This seems odd because with that and replacement of the other filter you're close to the price of a brand new unit.

Any idea where I can get a cheaper membrane?

Upgrade to a 75 GPD membrane and flow restrictor and get a lot more water production and same rejection rate 98%. Membranes are the most expensive filter to replace.
