I took home fancy brittle star the other day that I found. It has not big getting along with my trigger very well so I decided to separate the two and will be putting the brittle star in his own tank.

He is about 12" in diameter and the most crazy looking markings I have ever seen in a brittle star. I have not been able to ID his species (even after a hours and hours of searching and taking a few pictures down to a couple of LFS around here (NYC). Nobody has ever seen it before and after I told them about the Picasso Trigger and how they did not get along, 4 of them actually offered me quite a bit of money for it! I refused because I want to put him in his own tank.

So can this guy live by himself in a 29 gallon tank? Would a 10 gallon be too small? Anyone know how I can take care of him?

The 29g tank is probably okay. The 10g is a bit small. I'd try feeding some small chunks of shrimp, fish food, etc, to see whether he takes it. If so, you're probably set.
