Dogface Puffer

Will a dogface puffer get along with a cleaner shrimp? Is it possible to keep snails and crabs with a dogface puffer.

Shrimp, crabs, snails are all part of a puffer's diet. Some people say they can get away with using the extra large turbo snails. But eventually you will probably have to replenish your tank with them.

I've got a pair of Cleaner Shrmip in with my Dogface.

I just made sure the shrimp were in the tank and had time to find their favorite spots before adding the puffer.

He's never let the shrimp touch him, even though he'll get very close to them. It might be his skin is too sensitive? My other fish love the cleaners.

I'm not oblivious to the fact the Dogface may turn on the shrimp, but as long as he is well fed, I'm hoping he'll continue to play nice.
