I have a lipstick Blenny that I just pulled form the external overflow 3 days ago. He is back there again. I suppose he is jumping over the edge into the first chamber.
The question is: Do I need to remove him immediately, or can I let him hang out in there for a bit. I might have to leave him in the sump after that.
The extraction was stressful I am sure. Any thoughts?

I had a Royal Gramma that found his way into the overflow. The last time I found him there he was dead. My guess was all the water flow turblance wore him out. So I think get him out ASAP?
My six line wrasse got into my internal overflow and stayed there for a couple of days before I realized he wasn't simply hiding. Oops!
To get him out, I just put a mayonnaise jar lid over my durso standpipe to block the flow .. the water level rose above the lip of the overflow and he swam out right away. My overflow is tight so that was the only way I could do it .. it's also the least stressful.

I had a Fairy Wrasse jump into mine. I thought he died, I didnt see him for about a month, one day I was cleaning the overflow and I saw him in there. He's been in twice since.

One of my Firefish jumped into my overflow. I thought he had died.
The Firefish showed up in my sump 4 months later.
He is missing again. I think I need to check my overflow.
