I have a 250W PFO magnetic (M80) running the Phoenix 14k lamp and am interested in the EVC 10k. Anyone have experience with these two lamps? Pics would be great.

LMK if you get one. I'm just about to try the Hamilton this weekend. I'd be interested in trying the EVC if I find this too blue.

Best,

I have run both lamps, but on an electronic ballast. There is a large difference in the bulbs. EVC has a yellow tint, but the Phoenix has a blue tint. Growth has been much better with the EVC, though. So far, I am happy with the EVC as long as I run the VHO's. HTH.

Thanks for the replies. I hate constantly bumping, but...bump. I guess I would just like some pics, or links to pics, I can't seem to find any.

check the sps forum, there's a thread all about EVC 10ks. I run phoenix right now on an icecap e ballast and its not giving me the intensity that i want. Going to switch to XM 10k SE tomorrow. should be recieving those tomorrow as well as the lumen max 2s.

I have run both on a pfo magnetic. The EVC is a pretty nice white light, and feels like its about 3x as bright. Its like going outside on a sunny day and having to shield your eyes. Seriously, you will be amazed how dim your phoenix is compared to it. The pheonix suddenly looks amazingly blue when viewed side by side.

I noticed the red corals, as well as the greens show up way better on the EVC.

Sorry I dont have any pics at the moment.
