Macro Algea ID Please

I'm starting to get a large amount of this growing in the tank and I'd like a ID on it and an idea of if it is something to worry about. I also just bought a Yellow Tang. Will he eat it?

I have some too, dont know what its called though.

Pods like hiding in it.

So it isn't something to worry about? It seems to be spreading all over the place. It's not ugly... I just don't want it to crowd anything out. I'd love for my tang to snack on it.

well it does not grow too huge, so it wont shade corals. I tried pulling some out and it popped. I guess its spores spread and grow over the tank taht way.

I wouldnt worry too much. Seems to be a super strong algae, does not go sexual either.

Tangs eating it may just spread it around. It could be problematic.
