I see that Finnex sells both regular heaters, and also seperate heating tubes (without thermostats I guess) and controllers. The regular 300W heater is $22 (Premium Aquatics) while the buying the seperate 300 W heating tube ($25) and controller ($20, or $30 for digital) brings the cost to over double.
Does anyone know what the benefit is of the seperate heating tube and controller that makes it worth twice the price? Is the seperate controller more accurate/trustworthy than the one intergrated into the regular heater?
