Will a MagFloat Glass scraper put nitrates in the water if you leave it in the tank? Just was wondering.........

I've had one in my tank for 2 years now with no problems.

There's no reason that a Mag Float would contribute to nitrates in your tank.

It shouldnt be a problem with nitrates, however, you may want to make sure you take it out periodically to clean it and make sure there isnt any araganite on the inside part of the mag float, as this can quickly damage the inside of your aquarium.

whats the best way to clean these magnets? I have an extra one that needs a good cleaning, has sand in the cleaning surface
