im deciding to switch to 2-150 DE halides over a 100 gallon tank(60x18x20"h)

electrictity costs is a big factor, so im hoping 2-150s will be ok. im planning on EVENTUALLY downgrading to maybe a 75, so i was hoping i didnt need to do 3-150s.

its going to be a mixed reef, mostly lps and zoos, with a few sps high up.

its either the 150watt PFO mini pendant or 150 reefoptix 3 pendant.

lthe pendants bottom will be 8" from the water.

also, i couldnt find on your site at all, do you sell t5 endcaps? wanted to hopefully buy everything through you.

2 pendants
2 pheonix 14ks
2 54 watt t5 UVL super actinics
and the end caps.

Bawla,

Thanks for the questions. We are in the process of bringing in T5 DIY parts. We ran into a hold up in manufacturing so it will be a couple more weeks.

As for your question,

The 150s will be on the low side but thats ok if you are going to change to the 75 gallon soon. I would definitly reccomend 3x 150 at a minimum if you were to stay with the larger tank. This would be ok for softies and LPS and SPS would definitly have to be high up in the tank.

Both pendants you mentioned are solid performers. If pressed I would choose the Reef Optix.

Please let us know if you have any more Qs.

Thanks,
HL
