I just placed my first corals yesterday and they still don't seem to be opening up all the way. is this normal?

What kind of corals, how did you acclimate, how long has the tank been setup?

Frogspawn and a leather. Drip acclimated for about an hour. Extremely new system i just finised cycling about 3 weeks ago.

how long have your lights been on this morning? seems pretty normal for the leather (mine took about 36 hours to open fully.

Give them a few days to adust to your tank--not too bright lighting.

Thats probably the only problem...i just cut the lights on since i tried adjusting my timers last night but forgot to put them on. its been about an hour so far.

you are being paranoid ... it takes most corals some time to adjust and expand once the lights come on. make sure that your frogspawn doesn't have too much flow going on.
