broken razor blade

hello,

i was cleaning the fuge today with my pvc / razor blade scraper, and the razor blade (metal utility blade) broke.

the piece i saw and got out does not appear to be all that broke off, there may be a small piece that is missing in the fuge.

spent a few hours tearing it apart, and digging through the dsb, but no luck.

doomed?

the main tank is a mixed sps / lps / softies reef...

Have you tried digging through the sand with a strong magnet? Maybe you could waterproof it with a plastic bag?

I think if you have a mag-float or some other type it will work.

The magnet found it. I used a magnet my 7 year old has that can lift a small truck. I put it in a ziplock bag and dredged the tank.

Sweet.

Time for a new scraper. This was a brand new razor blade, and I did not push very hard on it when it shattered...
