So, I decided to try a few other skimmers out there. A few needlwheel models. A few needlewheel models with air injection via airstones. The Octopus RPS 2000 model with the Sedra 9000 NW feeding it, and with a OR2700 feed. So I make observations about each one. You know what? I think my old school beckett outskimmed all of them. So, I put another one together and fired it up! Seems like I forgot just how much air a beckett can pull in and had a small flood the first night as a result of the collection cup overflowing. I tweaked the air valve closed a bit and whoa! Thats the skim I used to see! Large chucks of crap and the smell I remember! Anyway, I'm back to the beckett gods! Please forgive me!
